Imagination

My next monochromatic card is... yellow! As you can see in the photos, the background is very simple - circles of yellow-toned cardstock arranged in a 5x4 pattern to allow room for the wide ribbon at the top. The stamp is from the Mini Ornates set but I've only used a small part of it. It's actually quite a bit longer, but I only had a small space within the frame to work with. Luckily for me there was a pause after the fourth line!

TSQ materials - Stampers Anonymous #CMS064 Mini Ornates, Dufex gold champagne card
Other - StazOn ink, Bazzill card, K&Company metal frame, porcelain flowers, ribbon, Carl circle punch

All blue

Well as you can see the theme for this month is MONOCHROMATIC!

I have chosen blue as my colour the same as Sephi (and we didn't organise it either)!

I have used the flower stamp from Paperbag Studios "Little Feet" plate.

This is a great stamp to use for any occasion and the whole process took such a short time that I'll use this again! Lots of layers of blue along with 2 layers of blue ribbon.

Until next time,
Barb

Live The Life

The design theme this month is... monochromatic! I chose blue for my first piece, with just a touch of white for contrast. I couldn't resist the new Stampers Anonymous unmounted stamps at the store - they are to die for! So all my cards this month will be featuring stamps from the Mini Ornates plate. Stamping-wise, I've used white and versamark ink to stamp the flowers on the navy blue card. The effect is almost fabric-like and very tactile.

TSQ materials - Stampers Anonymous #CMS 064 Mini Ornates, Stampers Anonymous #CMS046 Creative Muse, Darkroom Door photobooth ladies, Kaiser silver rhinestones
Other - Bazzill cardstock, Versamark ink, StazOn cotton white ink, StazOn jet black ink, lace, sandpaper

Brilliant

Last-minute Father's Day card here! I think my grandfather will get a kick out of this one - he loves gagets and what are robots if not big 'ol complicated gagets?! Ninety percent of this card is made with Darkroom Door products. The other ten percent is a few bits and bobs I had on my desk. Oh and FYI - the splatter on the "brilliant" sentiment is glimmer mist :-)

TSQ materials - Darkroom Door robot montage, Tattered Angels antique brass glimmer mist
Other - Darkroom Door Robot Vol.2 stamp set, Distress black soot ink, Darkroom Door paper, Bazzill cardstock, Darkroom Door robot filmstrips, key charm, gingham ribbon, circle punch

The Love of Family

The love of family, it can drive you crazy at times, but I wouldn't be without it! I got to hang out with my brother for a bit on Friday, it was great to catch up and even better to be able to help him out for a change. My brother is pretty clever with his hands and able to fix things that I couldn't possibly fix! He rebuilt a fence for me a while back. It's so strong and straight and I know there is no way on earth I'd have ever been able to do that!

So here's a 'chunky ATC' that I've put together in dedication to the love of family.

Create

Check out this creative gal. She's pretty in pink and ready to set to work on some creative project. I love this image from Stampotique, so she had to feature in my next 'Anything Goes' piece!

I've added some different Kaisercraft rub ons to her skirt and top along with some Kaisercraft rhinestone bling!

Rub ons work really well on buttons too!

Word is by Collections with a spritz of Vintge Pink glimmer mist for good measure!

Love Birds

I don't know about you, but for me the next couple of months are jam-packed with birthday's and anniversaries. Not to mention Father's Day! The first in this avalanche of card-giving occasions is a wedding anniversary for one of my dearest friends. This card sat half made on my desk for a few weeks; I just couldn't decide how to finish it! Well after experimenting with a few ideas I finally decided to embellish a champagne cap with a cute little Collections image and text, and voila! Here's the finished product. Yay, one card down :-)

TSQ materials - Collections kids in a row, Collections birdie words manilla
Other - Hero Arts stamp, StazOn ink, Daisy D's paper, Bazzill card, bottle cap, ribbon, Plaid glass finish, circle punch, white acrylic paint

Engaged!

It seems to be the time for engagement announcements and that means it's also time for cards and gifts for the happy couples. This image by Paperbag Studios is just perfect for this happy occasion, as is the sentiment that goes with it, 'May you love... all the days of your life'.

Here's my first piece for this month's 'Anything Goes' theme for the design team. I've coloured sections of the PBS 'May You Love' image with Tombow and Aquash pens.

The paper daisies have been sprayed with Red Velvet Glimmer Mist - just to make them the perfect colour. And the finishing touch for this piece is a strip of silver German Scrap.
